Leona K. Bailey went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2010 at the age of 69 years. Leona was born on July 25, 1940 to Oscar and Mary Kraatz. Leona was retired from the Southside Reporter where she had worked for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James Kraatz. She is survived by her husband, J.V. Bailey, her daughters, Diana Bailey-Kent and husband Ronald and Jennifer Lee Strateman and husband Malcolm, Jr., son, James V. Bailey, sister, Helen Wefel, brothers, Donald Kraatz, Edward "Pete" Kraatz, and Oscar Kraatz, grandsons, Bradley and Thomas Kent, step-grandsons, Ryan and Paul Strateman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
