ROMANO
Roberta Romano’s soul left this physical world on September 26, 2004. She is survived by her father, Robert Romano, Chicago, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Karen Romano, Milwaukee, WI; son, Anthony Duke, Austin, TX; daughter, Joanna Duke, Watuga, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jana Duke, Athens, GA. Bobbi, with an “i” and no “e”, moved to San Antonio in 1982 after growing up in Chicago, IL. After spending her younger days traveling and discovering the world, her life in San Antonio became devoted to raising her kids and helping others. Bobbi was always first to volunteer for PTA, room mom, or field trip chaperone. She was always there to encourage her kids to succeed and provide them with all the love and support they would need. As her kids got older, Bobbi continued her service to the other children of San Antonio by going to work for Braun Station Elementary and Monroe May Elementary. Bobbi will always be remembered as someone who was always willing to help, without ever asking for anything. She was a lover of life: she enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, watching “Sex and the City” and “The Sopranos” and definitely shopping. Bobbi will be missed greatly and loved and remembered always.
